Greystone gardens is a specialist garden center nestled in a beautiful woodland setting in the heart of Clarks Summit. The grounds are landscaped on the theme of an English cottage garden - a walk through our flower gardens and sales areas will give you plenty of design ideas for your own garden as well as a great deal of pleasure. Our Garden Cafe with its outdoor Terrace is a wonderful addition to this unique garden center. Whether you are looking for a particular plant or some good advice, you'll find Greystone Gardens the ideal stop for all your gardening needs and a lot more besides!

Greystone Gardens has been is business for over four years now. We want you to have success in your garden- Too many gardens never give their owner back anything but a series of chores. We know what grows in NE PA because we actually grow it. We know the plants, their cultural needs and the local climate and soil conditions where they will flourish. Above all, we know how to plant to create a gorgeous low maintenance garden. We select the best and have the largest variety of plant material locally available. Our gorgeous displays give you the proof of our advice and plant selections. Our motto is RIGHT PLANT IN THE RIGHT PLACE. With our plants and our advice you to can have a garden that looks as good as anything in the glossy magazines!

We have hundreds of wonderful plants and our collection has been growing steadily each year. This year our range and selection is huge!

Perennials:

The dynamic content of gardening, these plants are long lasting and are the secret to low maintenance gardening if you pick the right varieties. We carry over 500 varieties in all shapes and sizes, little and large. Remember we only chose the newest and best varieties.

Herbs:

Culinary and medicinal herbs. Whether you plan an elaborate herb Garden or simply just want some parsley for the kitchen window, we have a great choice, our pre-filled strawberry pots are a fun way to grow them. For all year pleasure how about one of our lovely topiaries.

Annuals:

We have some well chosen favorites and some excellent new varieties imported from jolly old England! You will be amazed at just how much fun these varieties are. They will make you the talk of your neighborhood! Come and see them, they are available this mid May. This year we have even more of our popular "English Baskets" and we are offering a refilling service for those of you who brought one last year.

Education At Greystone Gardens.

Success in your garden depends on knowledge. We here at Greystone gardens pride ourselves on matching plants to the right location - Over the last 3 years we have had a tremendous number of repeat customers. They know that we want them to have success, without it they would lose interest and our business would fail, so we spend a huge amount of time in the educational process. We have a tremendous number an variety of garden seminars. Not just at the garden center but to all kinds groups and organizations. We produce and write a weekly garden program on WSGD the Oldies Station - Friday 8.15am and Saturday at the same time.

In conjunction with WNEP Channel 16 we have written and filmed 20 or so Garden segments for The Home and Back Yard Show 7pm Saturday evening and 5.30am on Sunday Morning - yes there are some people up at that hour. I write several articles for the local press, or in honest reality any body who would have me! We want you to have success and develop your garden creatively. Bored of your old landscape? The Terrace Garden Cafe


Open all year round 11am to 4pm

Enjoy a tasty lunch or a refreshing afternoon tea amid the sights, sounds and scents of our lovely terrace garden. The bubbling pond is a wonderful backdrop for friendly conversation. When making reservations, please mention whether you prefer the air conditioned (when necessary) dining room or the air of the outdoor terrace.

Our pasta and salad specials change daily, but are always made with freshest seasonal ingredients - its healthy and delicious!

Our teas and coffees are absolutely terrific - I must admit I'm a fanatic when it comes to good coffee and tea. In the summer you can't beat our iced tea and Iced cappuccinoespresso.

Our cafe has been in business for well over a year. We now offer a unique selection of dishes - we are committed to offering our guest dishes that blend the best European and Asian foods - fresh and healthy dishes that really do taste good - With their individually ground spices and fresh herbs - whether its something traditional or something new you won't be disappointed!

Business Lunches Whether you want to take a client somewhere special or need half an hour to revive your spirits before getting back to the "grindstone" - we now have the menu and speed of service to accommodate you . Ask for an Express Lunch!

"Elevenses" The earlybird menu at special prices available between 11am - 12pm only.

Afternoon Tea Between 2pm and 4pm we will be serving an English style afternoon Tea - A large pot of freshly brewed tea of your choice and a selection of finger sandwiches. Savory and sweet treats fit for a queen! Build up strength before the kids get out of school! A great way to entertain a friend on a cold dreary day!

Larger parties We can cater for parties of 30-40 quite readily for private functions in the later afternoon - (4pm - 7pm) If you have some event, reception, business promotion, office - then please speak to Ann-Marie or Gretchen for information.
