Questions and Answers about Skirmish USA Paintball You and your friends may have several questions about your upcoming day of Paintball here at Skirmish USA. The following are frequently asked questions and answers!

Q: Where is Skirmish Located?

Where is Skirmish Located?A: Skirmish is located directly on Route 903, in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. We are 8 miles from the Jim Thorpe Train Station, 12 miles from I-80 exit #284, and 9 miles from PA Turnpike (I-476) exit #76.

Q: What is Skirmish?

What is Skirmish?A: Skirmish is a capture-the-flag team sport, played on a heavily wooded site with trout streams, waterfalls, and natural obstacles. The objective is to capture the opposing team's flag and return it to your team's base. Ambushes are frequent and alertness is essential. It is great exercise, fun, and very exciting.

Q: When is Skirmish Open?

When is Skirmish Open?A: Skirmish is open 7 days a week, year round. Our reservation lines are staffed from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm (EST). During off-hours, you may also leave a message at 1-800-SKIRMISH or send an email.

Q: Who Can Play?

A: Anyone 10 and over. Players under 18, however, must have our parental permission form signed by a parent/guardian. (Please note: you will need the Acrobat Reader available free from Adobe , to view and print this form.)

Q: What Does Skirmish Provide?

What Does Skirmish Provide?A: We will provide all the necessary equipment for playing, including: Field Judges, Paintball Gun, and FREE CO2. Paint can be purchased for as little as 5¢ per ball. We also have change rooms, snack bar, souvenir photos, and full-service gun and equipment sales.

Q: Can I bring my own gun?

A: YES!! You are permitted to bring your own gun. We allow both pump and semi-automatic paintball guns. Full-Autos are not permitted!! All personal guns will be chronographed by our judging staff, and must be 280 f.p.s. If you bring your own gun, rates do not change, but we will give you 100 paintballs for FREE!

Q: Do We Need Reservations?Do We Need Reservations?

A: Reservations are highly recommended and a necessity if you want to be guaranteed play. We do our best to accommodate last minute add-ons or walk-ons but cannot guarantee play or equipment unless you have reservations.

Q: How Do I Make Reservations?

Q: What About a Deposit?

What About a Deposit?A: A $15.00 per person deposit is required to hold your trip date and time. Payment in-full must be received 14 days prior to the day of your trip. When making reservations within 14 days, we will ask for full payment. We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, and money orders.

Q: What is Your Cancellation Policy?

A: Cancellations made more than 2 weeks prior to a trip may be rescheduled or refunded. If you cancel within 14 days of your trip, we would be happy to reschedule or send rainchecks.

Q: Do We Need to Bring a Group?

Do We Need to Bring a Group?A: Individuals and groups of all sizes are welcome. For individuals or small groups (less than 20 people) we will form teams, let your party stay together, and do our best to match you against a group of equal size and skill. If you have a group of 20 or more, you will play on a variety of private playing fields all day—just you and your friends!

Q: What Kind of Equipment Do You Use?

What Kind of Equipment Do You Use?A: We use Tippmann '98 semi-automatic guns. All you have to do is pull the trigger and they shoot! Our pump guns (which means you have to pump once to take each shot) are Trracers.

Q: How Much Paint Will I Need?

How Much Paint Will I Need?A: The average player shoots approximately 500 paintballs per day.
All Players MUST use Skirmish USA paintballs.

Q: What Are Your Policies on Safety?

What Are Your Policies on Safety?A: We have maintained an excellent record of safety over the last 18 years.

However, any outdoor adventure activity offers varying degrees of inherent natural risk. The individual's concentration to the task and various other factors contribute to your paintball adventure. Therefore, Skirmish USA cannot assume responsibility for property loss or personal liability. If you question your physical abilities, please consult your physician. You will be asked to acknowledge your acceptance of these conditions before your day by signing a waiver of liability form agreeing to participate at your own risk.
