WORLD RECORD GAME 2002
The 2002 World Record Game was our sixth attempt at breaking the record for the World's Largest Recreational Paintball Game. Coming into the game on Saturday morning, September 7, 2002, the pre-registration count was 2,317. With beautiful weather all weekend, we expected this to be the year to break our previous record÷but we fell short.
While we did not break the previous record that was set back in 1992, this game was certainly not a disappointment. The WRG 2002 was one hell of a game! This was a game where players got to sport their new equipment and played against thousands of people, tanks, mines and grenade launchers. The World Record Game 2002 was a paintball extravaganza complete with vendors selling equipment at close-out prices, demos of new markers, hydro-testing personal tanks, and an unforgettable stage show!
Final Results: THE YELLOW TEAM WON BOTH SATURDAY and SUNDAY
Saturday Points - Yellow Team: 2050, Blue Team: 1475
Sunday Points - Yellow Team: 1900, Blue Team: 700
