Houdini did not like cheats!
Ed Gerrity wrote in his column, "This is My Town," in The Scranton Times of Houdini exposing a charlatan in Wilkes-Barre. He wrote, "When performing one year in Scranton, Houdini was summoned to Wilkes-Barre and investigated a case that was disturbing the authorities. He went to the Baron City and exposed a fake spiritual medium who was milking the public of its cold cash. The medium got the bum's rush from Wilkes-Barre after Houdini's report on him and demonstration of his act. Houdini was death on fakers that went around taking money from unsuspecting people."
